Definition of Done
A short checklist the whole team agrees every item must meet before it counts as finished, such as reviewed, tested, released and documented. It closes the gap between "the developer says it is done" and "a customer can actually use it."
Example: A team marks a story done when the code is merged. Two sprints later, support finds the new export never worked in Safari and had no help text. They add four lines to their definition of done: checked in the main browsers, help text written, analytics event firing, released to production. The same stories now take a little longer and stop coming back.
