I started school at five, keen to learn and glad of the friends I made there.

When my family moved back to our ancestral village, this was the only high school. Science, grade B.

My science teacher gave me a medal as best student, near the end of our session.

Mathematics and Computer Science, with football and co-curricular activities alongside.

Took 3rd position in both languages.

Problem solving and programming were the main focus. Active in the Debating & Literary Society and the alumni network.

Organized the university talent hunt and the All Pakistan Declamation and Arfana Kalam competition, and supported students in polishing their skills.

PHP web development and quality assurance.

Built responsive, W3C-validated, cross-browser sites with HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Bootstrap, PHP, WordPress and Magento.

Studied robotics, control systems, artificial intelligence, computer vision and machine learning. Graduated with a 3.5 GPA.

Full stack web development with PHP, Yii and custom WordPress plugins, within agile teams.

Led front-end and back-end development with Laravel, PHP, Bootstrap and ReactJS, and mentored junior developers.

Organized two annual events that helped build momentum. Senior alumni, companies and the CS department now work together on academia and industry links, and alumni share jobs and support each other.

Worked on an experience automation and data orchestration platform that lets teams build journey processes without coding.

Helped organize WordCamp Islamabad, including the 2018 and 2019 editions.

A beginner’s guide to child themes, which change a theme without editing its source files so updates don’t overwrite the work. The aim was to help WordPress beginners in the local community.

Developed the Bacha Finder App, a platform for the community to report missing children and support search and rescue efforts.

Shared insights about transitions in the tech industry and encouraged the audience to come out of their safe zone.

Led a team of web developers building web applications as the interface to AI products.

Freelance full stack web development, specializing in PHP and Python.

Updated over 50 websites to current PHP, plugins and themes, cut load time from ten seconds to three, and built a real-time document auditing portal.

Helping the Pakistan community learn, collaborate and grow.

Represented STech.ai alongside speakers from NED Karachi, Quetta, Islamabad and Peshawar, most of them from academia.

Led the design and rollout of a facial recognition attendance solution from initiation to closure, now used in over 20 organizations.

Why hooks are the clean, scalable way to extend a WordPress site and keep it up to date.

Six-course program covering project foundations, initiation, planning, execution and agile, finished with a capstone.

Took photos across the conference hall and stalls, and met speakers and attendees from many countries.

Organized the event with 20 speakers and 200 participants, and raised PKR 1,000,000 in sponsorship for event expenses, scholarships and the WordPress community.

Worked with students validating their Final Year Project ideas, and compared two of my own projects built a decade apart to show what makes an AI product succeed.

Took student teams from IKIGAI and Lean Canvas through elevator pitches and storyboards to running their projects with Scrum.

Managed social media, shaped newsletters and represented the voice of WordCamp Asia across different stages.

Set up the roadmap for Forminator, aligned stakeholders and communicated the vision to the development team.

As Co-Lead of WordCamp Islamabad 2026, I helped lead event planning, coordinate teams, shape the program, and support speakers, sponsors, and volunteers. I worked to introduce workshops and mentorship sessions to Contributor Day for the first time. I also met regularly with volunteers and ambassadors to align our efforts with the event’s goals and create a welcoming space to learn, contribute, and connect.
