Product Discovery
The work of figuring out whether an idea is worth building, before you build it. This includes talking to users, testing assumptions, and checking if the problem is real and big enough to solve.
Example: Before adding a new reporting feature, a team interviews ten customers to see if the current reports are actually causing lost deals, or if the request came from one loud voice.
